Thai Basil, has a spicy flavor similar to that of licorice. It has tin green leaves and purple flowers on red-purple stems.
Plant in a sunny area and keep soil moist. Pruning off the tallest flowers as soon as possible will encourage foliage growth and keep the plant going strong. The leaves should be picked when the plant reaches 6 to 8 inches tall. When harvest early in the morning, the leaves are juicer because it’s when the concentration of aromatic oils are at their highest.
