Chervil is one of the four ingredients in ‘fines herbes’, it also includes parsley, chives, and tarragon. To make your own, combine equal amounts, minced.

Chives are member of the onion family. The edible flowers are white, and are larger and less densely-clustered than those of common chives.

Plant in a sunny area and keep soil moist. Pruning off the tallest flowers as soon as possible will encourage foliage growth and keep the plant going strong. The leaves should be picked when the plant reaches 6 to 8 inches tall. When harvest early in the morning, the leaves are juicer.
